Just when the Buford Connector and Piedmont Road began moving in both directions, the WSB Traffic Center reported Friday an expectation of 30 per cent more traffic will hit the roadways beginning Monday after Spring Break. 1. Sleepless in Buckhead: Man suing to halt noisy overnight I-85 repairs. A Buckhead man says reconstructing a portion of I-85 is keeping him up at night. Tyler Gaston says he's sleep deprived because the noise is so loud, and he'd like crews to halt overnight work. [Read more]

2. Braves foam tomahawks spill onto I-75 South in Cobb. Atlanta Braves foam tomahawks fell from a truck on I-75 South near the Windy Hill Road exit in Cobb County on Wednesday morning, officials said. [Read more]

3. Former student indicted with murder in death of Tara Grinstead. An Irwin County grand jury has indicted the man accused of killing Tara Grinstead, a south Georgia teacher and former beauty pageant queen. Ryan Alexander Duke, 33, was indicted on six counts, including malice murder. [Read more]

4. Man accused in Midtown throat slashing arrested in Myrtle Beach. A man accused of slashing a woman's throat during a robbery in Midtown was arrested in Myrtle Beach, S.C., police said. Anthony Greene, 44, of Lithonia, allegedly attacked his victim in a pay parking lot in Atlanta on March 26. [Read more]

5. State offers $3.1 million incentive to finish I-85 bridge early. Georgia Department of Transportation Commissioner Russell McMurry Wednesday announced contractor C.W. Matthews can earn an extra $1.5 million for completing the project by May 25 – three weeks earlier than the target June 15 completion date. [Read more]
