Man in stalled car killed by suspected drunk driver

A Cobb County man died early Sunday when his car was hit from behind by a suspected drunk driver, according to police.

Olvin Gallo-Flores, 25, of Mableton, was inside his 2004 Nissan 350 ZX on the I-285 westbound ramp from I-75 north in Clayton County when the car stalled, according to police.

While Gallo-Flores was stuck in lane four in the stalled car, he was struck from behind by a Chevrolet Express Cargo Van shortly before 5 a.m., Clayton County police said. Gallo-Flores died in the wreck.

Charges are pending against the driver and a passenger of the van, whose names were not released, according to police. Investigators believe both people in the van were under the influence of alcohol.
