South Fulton police are looking to identify a man wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old.

South Fulton police are looking to identify a man wanted for questioning in a shooting that left a 17-year-old dead last month.

Officers responded to the shooting in the 5500 block of Oakley Industrial Boulevard about 6:45 p.m. Aug. 16, authorities said in a Facebook post.

They arrived to find a teen on the ground with a gunshot wound, South Fulton police spokesman Lt. Jubal Rogers said. The victim, identified as 17-year-old Ke’Sean Palmer, later died of his injuries, according to police. It’s still unclear what led to the incident, but witnesses told investigators they saw a man in a red hoodie shooting at the scene.

A surveillance photo that appears to have come from a convenience store shows a man with shoulder-length dreadlocks wearing a red hoodie matching the description given by witnesses.

Anyone who recognizes the man or knows his whereabouts is asked to contact South Fulton detectives.
