DeKalb County police are investigating a shooting late Tuesday night that apparently happened during a home invasion on Panola Road.

Officers responding to an 11:35 p.m. person shot call in the 3200 block of Panola Road found the 25-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, DeKalb police Capt. Stephen Fore said.

He said the man, whose name has not been released, was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

“The circumstances that resulted in the shooting are still under investigation,” Fore said this morning. A “preliminary investigation suggests the victim was shot during a home invasion.”
