A man said he acted in self defense when he stabbed a man during a fight outside of the Georgia Dome last month.

James Lewis McCoy, 46, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault for the Jan. 20 stabbing, which injured a 35-year-old man, Channel 2 Action News reported. McCoy admits he pulled out a pocket knife during the fight, but says it was because he feared for his life.

“We’re not sure why Mr. McCoy seems to be singled out, doing whatever he could to defend himself,” McCoy’s attorney, Mac Pilgrim, told Channel 2.
