Man found shot dead in Piedmont Hospital parking deck

Atlanta police are investigating after a man was found shot dead Wednesday in the parking deck of Piedmont Hospital.

Authorities were called to the hospital at 1968 Peachtree Road just before 4 p.m., according to police reports.

The man was found inside a car in the north parking deck, police said.

Police spokesman Officer John Chafee said the death “appears to be a suicide.”
