One of three men shot Sunday evening in unincorporated Lilburn has died from his injuries, authorities said Friday.

Julius Vance, 22, of Snellville, was shot in the 700 block of Beaver Ruin Road, Gwinnett County police said.

Following the shooting, the victims and suspects fled the scene. It’s unclear what prompted the triple shooting, but investigators believe it may have been drug related.

Lilburn officers working an off-duty job heard gunfire in the area about 7:30 p.m., police said in a statement. The officers, along with Gwinnett police, went to the location and found a man who had been shot in the abdomen, officials said.

A second victim was later discovered in the bed of a pickup truck with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said. Authorities also took him to Northside Gwinnett Hospital.

Witnesses told investigators the man ran away from the scene of the shooting and climbed into the back of the truck, which was found more than a mile away on Burns Walk Court. The driver was not aware someone was in the bed of his pickup, police said in a statement.

The third victim, who was shot multiple times, was located at a home off Cliffglen Way and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Authorities have not said how many times Vance was shot or where he was discovered after the shooting. The names of the other two victims have not been released.

“Investigators believe there are witnesses to this shooting that may have information related to the suspects,” police said Friday. A cash reward is being offered for anyone who comes forward with information leading to an arrest or indictment in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gwinnett police at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta at 404-577-8477.
