Authorities are investigating after a man was shot in Stone Mountain and died early Friday morning.

DeKalb County police were called to the 500 block of Mount Vista Road around 4 a.m. and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, spokeswoman Michaela Vincent said. He was taken to a hospital, where he died. His name was not released.

DeKalb County police have not said if any suspects have been identified.

Police did not say what happened before the shooting or if any suspects have been identified.

Also in DeKalb on Friday, a body was found inside a burning car in the area of Coffee and South Stone Mountain Lithonia roads, Channel 2 Action News reported. Authorities have not released any details about the fire or the death investigation.
