A man was arrested late Wednesday after authorities said he intentionally set a fire inside of a Kennesaw hotel.

Andre Terrel Hull, 40, is charged with first-degree arson in connection with the incident, according to Cobb County jail records.

The incident happened at the Home 2 Suites on Ring Road, according to the Cobb fire department. Authorities were sent to the hotel just before midnight after someone reported a fire in the building’s kitchen.

When crews arrived, they determined the fire had been started intentionally. Investigators identified Hull as a suspect and took him into custody, the fire department said.

Hull was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, where he remains without bond.
