9-year-old missing on Lake Jackson after adult thrown from boat
Department of Natural Resources game wardens, along with Jasper County officials were searching for a missing 9-year-old after a boating incident on Lake Jackson in the Turtle Cove area.
An adult was thrown from a vessel and swam to shore and the 9-year-old has been missing since early Sunday morning, DNR spokesman Mark McKinnon said.
“We are conducting surface searches with aviation, underwater searches with sidescan and sector scan sonar and the ROV (remote operated vehicle),” McKinnon said.
