A 2-year-old girl died Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle at a Gwinnett County home.
The child, whose name was not released, was hit in the driveway of the Auburn home and a family member placed her into a car to take her to get help, Cpl. Jake Smith with Gwinnett County police said.
The family member met emergency responders at the intersection of Fence Road and Gran Heritage Way in Dacula, and the child was transported by ambulance to Gwinnett Medical Center, Smith said.
No charges are expected against the driver who struck the toddler, Smith said.
