The body of a missing worker was located in an Atlanta water treatment plant Saturday.

Plant operator Larry Bradley, 38, was taking water samples Friday morning at the R.M. Clayton Water Treatment Plant on Bolton Road when he apparently fell in an aeration basin, said Janet Ward, a spokeswoman for the city's Department of Watershed Management. He is survived by a 12-year-old son and fiancée.

Emergency crews searched overnight for the man and found him Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

"I am deeply sorry about the death of Larry Bradley," said Mayor Kasim Reed in a statement released Saturday. "I extend my heartfelt sympathy to his entire family, friends and co-workers. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time."

The City of Atlanta will be conducting a thorough investigation into the accident, according to the press release.
