The Woodstock City Council has created the position of amphitheater operations manager to oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of its recently completed outdoor performing arts venue, the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater.

The manager will report to the Parks and Recreation director, assist in planning, programming and coordinating concerts, events and programs, and supervise maintenance staff, community service workers, temporary employees and volunteers, according to a staff report to the Council.

The amphitheater is at Main Street and Arnold Road in the Park at City Center. It has a band shell, grass terraces and a main lawn for more than 7,500 audience members. The city intends to hire for the facility this spring as it ramps up for the summer concert series, staff said.
