The Atlanta Commission on Women will host a women's health and safety forum from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22 at Atlanta City Hall, 68 Mitchell St. The free event will take place in the old City Council Chamber and will focus on diabetes awareness, heart disease in women, HIV/AIDS among women, obesity, fitness, nutrition, preventive care and fire safety.
Organizers are asking participants to register for the forum by Tuesday, August 14 by calling 404-330-6330 or emailing atlcommwomen@gmail.com. Lunch will be provided to participants.
