In the past two days, Henry County has had two incidents in which domestic disputes have turned deadly. In both cases, women are accused of fatally shooting their boyfriends.

In McDonough, Paula Kelly, 40, has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection with the fatal shooting of 41-year-old Eddie Parrot.

Police said they received a 911 call around 5:20 a.m. Monday from a woman who said she had shot her boyfriend at 358 Brannan Road. Officers found Parrot in his car with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

They interviewed Kelly -- who told police she and Parrot were arguing about paying bills -- and subsequently charged her with the fatal shooting.

The second incident occurred in Stockbridge around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police said a neighbor called to report that a woman at 55 Pinehurst Drive was screaming that her boyfriend had been shot.

When police arrived, they found 59-year-old Carl Malcolm Thomas Sr., outside in a chair in front of the home. He was dead from a gunshot wound, police said.

His girlfriend, Leslie Ann Ziverts, 43, was still at the scene, and was taken into custody without incident, police said. She has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
