Woman seriously injured in Alpharetta crash

A woman is on her way to North Fulton Regional Hospital after being rescued from her smashed car.

Police were called to Mid Broadwell and Bethany Roads in Alpharetta around 1 p.m. Monday for two-vehicle crash, Alpharetta Police spokesman George Gordon said.

Emergency officials had to pry open one of the vehicles and rescue a female driver who was trapped inside, Gordon said.

Paramedics rushed the woman to North Fulton Regional with serious injuries. Her name was not available Monday afternoon.

The road is scheduled to re-open 1:30 p.m.
