Woman rescued from flipped SUV

A woman in a flipped Ford Explorer was rescued by Cherokee emergency workers Thursday morning.

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to a call at about 9:15 a.m. at Bells Ferry Road, near the intersection of Countryside Lane.

They found a 41-year-old woman trapped in her SUV. Workers were able to safely extricate the woman, who was not identified.

She's currently in stable condition at Kennestone Hospital.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
