A Cobb County woman was arrested Sunday night after a standoff in northwest Georgia.

Dade County deputies began searching at Cloudland Canyon after park rangers found a note Christina Bailey left on her car threatening suicide, the Chattanooga Time Free Press reported. Bailey, 34, also threatened in the note to kill anyone that intervened, Dade County Sheriff Patrick Cannon told the newspaper.

After several hours of searching, deputies spotted Bailey holding a revolver to her head, according to the report.

“Fortunately we were able to talk her into putting the gun down,” Cannon said.

Bailey was taken into custody and was to undergo a medical evaluation.
