A $25,000 Silver lottery ticket was sold at A 1 Stop in Marietta. The winning ticket was paid Sept. 16, 2016, after being purchased at the 30064 retailer.

The lucky ticket was one of at least two winning Silver tickets claimed in the metro Atlanta area from July to October, according to data from the Georgia Lottery Corporation. The lottery provided data on prizes exceeding $600.

At least $107.8 million in winnings was claimed during that time from tickets sold at area stores .

All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K program. Check out winning numbers at http://www.ajc.com/lottery.
