Suwanee is having a wing festival this weekend — and an oddly named, well-known band from the '90s will rock the accompanying concert.

Festivities begin at 5 p.m. Saturday at Town Center Park, and will feature wings from eight local restaurants. Toad the Wet Sprocket, best known for hits like "Walk on the Ocean" (see video below), will hit the stage at 8:30 p.m.

Visit suwanee.com for the full musical lineup.

The food side of things will also include a 7 p.m. wing-eating contest, where Suwanee police Capt. Shane Edmisten will defend his crown against competitors including Mayor Jimmy Burnette, several local school principals and "Intern Brent" from Rock 100.5's Bailey and Southside Morning Show.

Someone from the audience will be chosen to compete, too.

Town Center Park is located at 330 Town Center Ave.
