Atlanta police are trying to determine who threw a Molotov cocktail through the front window of a West End convenience store early Tuesday.

The ensuing fire heavily damaged the West End Stop ‘N' Shop on Lee Street.

No injuries were reported.

Store employees told WSB-TV that they believe the fire was set by a disgruntled elderly man.

One witness said the incident began with a dispute inside the store.

David Patterson told CBS Atlanta that a man was arguing with a clerk when the man threw a bottle at the clerk and another at the side of the building.

Patterson told the station the man then calmly drove away from the scene.

"He didn't look like he was afraid of nothing. He didn't drive too fast down Lee Street. Drove slowly down Lee Street," Patterson said.

Last March, a clerk at the store was shot and killed during a robbery. Atlanta police later arrested three men for the March 22, 2009, shooting death of 24-year-old clerk Harish Roy.
