A Wells Fargo Bank in Lilburn was held up Friday when the robber presented a note to the teller then fled with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

The robber, however, also got a little something extra: a red dye pack.

Lawrenceville police said a teller slipped the dye pack in with the cash and it deployed.

Several Wells Fargo locations have been the target of robberies in recent months, including two in Stone Mountain in DeKalb County.

Friday’s robbery occurred around 10:35 a.m. at the Wells Fargo at 5505 Lawrenceville Highway. No one was injured.

Lawrenceville police said the suspect fled in a grey extended cab pickup truck and appeared to be traveling toward Tucker.

The suspect is described as a large-frame, dark-skinned black male between 30 and 40 years old and about 5 feet 11 to 6 feet tall. He was wearing a brown leather jacket, black long sleeve shirt, dark pants and a black toboggan stocking cap.

Police say he also may have red dye on him and a possible injury from the deployed dye pack.

Several other Wells Fargo banks also have been hit recently: a holdup of Wells Fargo at 1815 Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain on July 11 and two robberies of the Wells Fargo at 4798 Redan Road in Stone Mountain on Aug. 12 and Oct. 13.

The FBI believes one robber is responsible for the earlier holdups, in addition to the Sept. 16 robbery of a SunTrust Bank at 3870 North Druid Hills Road in Decatur.
