The weather is warming again after Hurricane Irma, and though summer is coming to a close, hurricane season is far from over.

The last day of the season is Friday.

What is now a tropical depression named Lee is weakening and not expected to cause problems on land, but Hurricane Maria became a hurricane Sunday afternoon, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Katie Walls said.

Maria is expected to follow a similar path to Irma.

But the storms in the Atlantic Ocean aren’t yet affecting local weather much.

Sunday’s high is 88 degrees, according to Channel 2.

Some clouds are expected, but no rain.

The trend of partly cloudy but dry skies is expected to continue through Tuesday.

Then, on Wednesday, there is a 20 percent chance of rain, which increases to 40 percent on Thursday.
