Visitors stroll the Waffle House Museum. It's the site of the very first Waffle House restaurant, which opened in 1955 after two neighbors, Joe Roger Sr. and Tom Forkner, decided the Avondale Estates neighborhood needed a 24-hour restaurant.

The original Waffle House in Avondale Estates, now the Waffle House Museum, will get the Georgia Historical Society's first historic marker dedicated to a breakfast restaurant.
