Visit these 8 DeKalb parks celebrating upgrades this summer

Summer has brought upgrades to a number of DeKalb County parks.
Officials have a busy schedule of ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremonies planned in the coming days around the county.
A playground groundbreaking at Hairston Park and a tennis court dedication at Henderson Park have already passed. But the public is invited for the following:
- Gresham Recreation Center playground dedication, July 14, at 10 a.m., 3113 Gresham Road, Atlanta
- Redan Park tennis court dedication, July 19, at 10 a.m., 1745 Phillips Road, Lithonia
- Longdale Park ribbon cutting, July 21, at 10 a.m., 1830 Longdale Drive, Atlanta
- Midway Park playground ribbon cutting, July 26, at 10 a.m., 3181 Midway Road, Decatur
- Exchange Park football field dedication, July 28, at 10 a.m., 2771 Columbia Drive, Decatur
- Wade Walker Park playground dedication, July 29, at 10 a.m., 5585 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain
