Police body cam video obtained by Channel 2 Action News shows a wild police chase that landed a teenager in jail early Saturday morning.

Suwanee police clocked the car going 96 mph in a 45-mph zone on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, according to a police report. But the driver didn’t slow down and officers chased him across Gwinnett County until losing sight of him briefly.

The chase picked up again in Duluth, where 17-year-old Malik Yancey eventually crashed into a car stopped at a red light. He then got out and tried running away.

A retired officer got involved outside a QuikTrip, forcing Yancey to put his hands on a vehicle so police could apply handcuffs.

Police arrested Yancey and learned the car was reported stolen out of DeKalb County, Channel 2 confirmed. Yancey faces seven charges related to the incident.

No injuries were reported.
