Two unidentified men set fire to a vehicle Thursday at Motel 6 at 6015 Oakbrook Parkway near Norcross.
Witnesses called 911 to report a silver 2001 Mercedes was on fire at 10:58 a.m., said Gwinnett fire Capt. Thomas Rutledge. They also reported seeing two men flee in a black Pontiac. Investigators believe the suspects doused the Mercedes with a flammable liquid and set it ablaze. The vehicle belonged to a guest at the motel.
It's unknown why the individuals torched the car. Anyone with information should call Gwinnett fire investigators at 678-518-4890.
