Two wounded in SW Atlanta shooting

Two people were wounded by gunfire early Friday at an apartment complex in southwest Atlanta.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. at the Hidden Pines apartments on Cushman Circle off Boulder Park Drive.

Atlanta police Sgt. Lisa Keyes said Gregory Gainer, 24, was shot in the groin, and Shenikqua Jones, 17, was struck in the abdomen.

Both were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Gainer in critical condition and Jones in stable condition.

Investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting, and have no suspects, Keyes said.
