DeKalb County police are investigating the second shooting of a teenager in four days on a street near Stone Mountain.
In the latest incident, a 15-year-old was shot around 11 p.m. Monday while walking along To Lani Trail, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The teen, whose name has not been released, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his leg.
“We believe it’s going to be robbery motivated,” DeKalb police Lt. Antonio Catlin told Channel 2.
The suspects, who were possibly in a red sport utility vehicle, “pulled alongside the victim and made some type of gesture as far as give it up,” Catlin said. “We’re trying to identify how many subjects were inside the vehicle.”
A 17-year-old was shot and wounded Friday on the same street in the neighborhood off Redan Road, according to Channel 2.
Three men jumped out of a car and shot the teen, who was trying to sell an iPhone.
That teen, whose name has not been released, is expected to recover from his wounds, Channel 2 reported.
