Two spills of grease into waterways reported in DeKalb
DeKalb Watershed on Monday reported two sanitary sewer spills in the past few days in different parts of the county.
Both spills – one Friday in Doraville and another Sunday in Atlanta – involved grease getting into the storm water drains.
Crews cleared the Doraville spill on Raymond Drive by pressure washing the main pipe and removing the blockage. The department also pressure washed in Sunday’s incident on Cartecay Drive in Atlanta on Sunday.
Both spills entered the north fork of Peachtree Creek.
