Two more Republicans have joined the race to represent Georgia’s Fourth Congressional District.
Cory Ruth and Victor Armendariz, both of Atlanta, have qualified for the July 20 primary.
Ruth, 32, is an information security manager at Fiserv. Armendariz, 40, works in publishing. Both are newcomers to politics.
They face business consultant Liz Carter and retired naval officer Larry Gause on the Republican ticket.
U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson is seeking a third term. In addition to Johnson, former DeKalb CEO Vernon Jones and DeKalb Commissioner Connie Stokes are running of the Democratic ticket.
The Fourth Congressional District includes most of DeKalb, along with portions of Gwinnett and Rockdale counties.
