Two Cobb County middle schoolers arrested Wednesday could face criminal charges after administrators found them in possession of what they believe to be cocaine.

School district spokesman Jay Dillon would not disclose the age or grade level of the suspects, who attend J.J. Daniell Middle School, near Sprayberry High School in east Cobb.

The suspected cocaine has not yet been tested, Dillon said. School officials are not commenting on the quantity of the substance found or what, if anything, the students intended to do with it. Their supplier has not been identified.

The students have been temporarily suspended pending further disciplinary action, Dillon said. Cobb school police are handling the investigation.
