The trial has been postponed for a former DeKalb County Police officer charged with receiving oral sex while on duty.
Javier Garces is charged with two counts of aggravated sodomy and one count of violation of oath of office.
Garces was on duty when he allegedly forced two women to perform oral sex on him in lieu of arrest, said Erik Burton, a spokesman for the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office.
Garces’ trial was scheduled to start Friday, but was postponed to Jan. 14. His attorney, John Petrey, could not be immediately reached for comment.
Garces joined DeKalb Police in December 2007 and was fired in June 2009, police spokesman Officer Jason Gagnon said.
