A Midtown street appeared to be clear Thursday evening after it was blocked earlier by a fallen tree.

“At this time the area is believed to be clear,” Atlanta police spokesman Stephanie Brown said.

Earlier, Peachtree Circle was blocked between 15th Street and Lafayette Drive. The tree fell on a car and also knocked down “several” power lines and poles, police said.

Georgia Power responded to help clear the scene.

No injuries were reported.
