Jewel, a pop and country singer who has been nominated for four Grammys, will perform in Sandy Springs later this year.

The Alaskan singer’s “Handmade Holiday Tour” will stop at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center at City Springs on Dec. 19. Tickets will available to the general public on Friday, Sept. 7.

On the tour, Jewel Kilcher will perform holiday classics, new holiday original music and some of her older songs alongside her family and other special guests. Her family is the star of the show “Alaska: The Last Frontier” on the Discovery Channel.

“I am so honored to share some of the traditions I was raised with in Alaska on our family homestead,” Jewel said in a statement. “Creating unique gifts and sharing songs is a Kilcher family tradition we can't wait to share with others on this tour.”

Jewel burst onto the mainstream music scene in the United States in 1995 with her debut album, “Pieces of You.” The album sold more than 12 million copies in the U.S. and it earned her two Grammy nominations.

She later performed at the Super Bowl and NBA Finals, appeared in movies and TV shows, released 11 more albums and published three books.

Jewel’s upcoming tour begins on Nov. 25 in Springfield, Missouri and ends on Dec. 22 in Biloxi, Mississippi. It includes 22 shows.
