"Time to put family first." -- Dr. Cindy Loe

Dr. Cindy Loe submitted her resignation late Thursday as Fulton County  school superintendent, citing personal and family reasons.

She has since expounded, saying: "Those of us in the ‘sandwich generation’ find it really tough to balance a career and personal life. I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished in my educational career, but the time has come for me to put my family first. My mother is getting older and I want to spend more time with her. On the flip side, I also have a husband and two daughters in their early 20s who still need their mom."
