Thieves stock up on cigarettes

Some people will do anything to feed a habit.

Norcross police are looking for three men who broke into a Shell Station and made off with dozens of cartons of cigarettes this week. The offenders didn't appear to have a brand preference, said Detective Bill Grogan, who estimated the value of the stolen cigarettes and cigarillos at about $2,000.

The burglars used a large pry bar to breach an exterior door at 6367 Jimmy Carter Blvd ten minutes before midnight on Sunday. They also used the crow bar to open a door to the area behind the counter. The crew fled in a van, but police may have a smoking gun. The suspects are captured on surveillance footage.

Anyone with information about the trio is asked to contact Norcross Police at 770-448-2111.
