Thirsty smash and grab burglars hit a Midtown restaurant and bar early Tuesday, but this time the target wasn't flat-screen televisions.

According to employees cleaning up from the 5:30 a.m. incident at Marlow's Tavern in the 900 block of West Peachtree Street, the thief or thieves  didn't even enter the restaurant.

Instead, they smashed a window behind the bar, reached in and grabbed several bottles of high-end vodka that were sitting on a shelf and were within reach of the gaping, jagged hole in the window.

Someone across the street notified authorities after hearing the glass break, according to police dispatchers.
