Q: Auburn won the BCS national championship and the Heisman Trophy, joining Alabama from last year. Have any other major universities from the same state ever done that in back-to-back years?

—Richard Morris, Newnan

A: This is the first time that two schools from the same state have won the AP or BCS national championship and the Heisman Trophy in consecutive seasons, dating to 1935, the year the Heisman was first awarded. Auburn won the national title and quarterback Cam Newton won the Heisman for 2010, matching the feat accomplished by Alabama and running back Mark Ingram in 2009. In fact, this is only the second time that two different schools in the same state have won national titles in consecutive years, joining Texas Christian (1938) and Texas A&M (1939). TCU quarterback Davey O'Brien won the Heisman Trophy in 1938, but Iowa running back Nile Kinnick won in 1939.

Q: In the Zaxby’s TV commercials, there is a photograph of a Zaxby's that looks exactly like the one on Browns Bridge Road in Gainesville. Is it the Gainesville restaurant?

—Sarah Cooper, Gainesville

A: The location that appears in the commercial is the Zaxby's in Smyrna, a spokeswoman for Zaxby's told Q&A on the News.
