Q: It's always fun to watch some of Animal Planet's “Puppy Bowl” on Super Bowl Sunday. The featured puppies are available for adoption, and I've always wondered how many get adopted by viewers.

—Catherine West, Atlanta

A: As of Feb. 21, three of the 58 puppies that played in “Puppy Bowl VIII” on Feb. 5 were still available for adoption, a “Puppy Bowl” spokesperson told Q&A on the News in an email. They were Peter, Marbles and Brody. The puppies in “Puppy Bowl VIII” came from rescues and shelters across the U.S., and anyone interested in adopting them can do so by going to Petfinder.com. This year’s starting lineup included puppies from spcaLA (California), All Star Pet Rescue (New Jersey), GO Boxer Rescue (Ohio), Pet Matchmaker Rescue (Pennsylvania), Furever Dachshund Rescue (Rhode Island) and Huts for Mutts Dog Rescue (Texas).

Q: I have seen Sharon Collins on Georgia Public Broadcasting’s “Georgia Outdoors.” She looks and sounds a lot like Kate Snow, the former ABC anchor who is currently on NBC. Are they, by chance, sisters?

—Lori McCain, Marietta

A: They are not sisters, or even related, but Collins knows Snow from when they worked together at CNN, GPB spokeswoman Mandy Wilson told Q&A on the News in an email. While at CNN, Collins was the host of “Down to Earth,” a regular feature on Headline News, and was host and producer of CNN’s “Earth Matters,” a weekly environmental show, according to gpb.org.
