The Battery Atlanta is charged up for its second New Year’s Eve bash.

The free event outside the Braves' new SunTrust Park will start early at 5:30 p.m. for families and transition into being more adult-centered at 9 p.m., according to its Facebook event.

The "early innings" in the plaza will feature: The Heavy Hitters band, Fear No Ice (a chainsaw ice sculpture show), Blooper the Braves mascot and in-game host Mark Owens. There will be an inflatable baseball ball drop at 8 p.m.

The “late innings” festivities start with the 12 South Band. The midnight countdown will have pyrotechnics. And 2019 will begin with “a confetti and aerial fireworks display.”

Free parking is available in all public parking decks: Red, Green and Purple.

If you see something else going on nearby: The Omni Hotel’s fancy, $150 VIP experience with a buffet and booze is all sold out.
