Three teens are facing charges of entering autos after an early Wednesday investigation in the Towne Lake area. Cherokee County Sheriff’s deputies said they got calls from an address on Rosedale Road and from the Eagle Watch subdivision about several young males in a silver passenger car behaving suspiciously.
Shortly after that, deputies stopped such a car at Eagle Watch Drive and Indian Ridge Trail after seeing three men either switching places in the car or trying to put something in the vehicle. Shawn Gardner, 19, Braden Kincaid, 17, and Tyler Wells, 17, were charged with three counts of entering auto and possession of a firearm during a felony.
The sheriff’s office expects to file additional charges as more victims turn up. A sheriff’s spokesman says at least 10 victims of theft have been identified and that such items as firearms, purses, wallets. cash and sunglasses were taken.
