The Orchard at White Street Park in Suwanee is the recipient of The Georgia Urban Forest Council’s ‘2017 Outstanding New Initiative,’ and Keep Georgia Beautiful’s 2017 Community Beautification award.

With a mission of “Growing a Healthier Suwanee,” one facet of the long-term vision for Harvest Farm and the surrounding White Street Park has been to provide a public orchard to enhance the community’s knowledge of gardening, local food sources, and the environment.

Space for the orchard was programmed in the original 2009 master plan for White Street Park. In 2017, the city completed construction on the second phase of the park, which includes a large public orchard. The Orchard at White Street Park, a fully functional orchard that is open to the public, is the first of its kind in the southeast.
