The DeKalb County Public School Foundation will host a fundraiser early next month to promote conservation and sustainability.

The district last year opened Arabia Mountain High School, its first school to meet “green” building standards. The district also has promoted recycling and other conservation efforts.

The foundation’s fundraiser, entitled “Sustainable? Together, it’s so do-able,” will focus on those programs at more. It runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Hellenic Community Center Ballroom on Clairmont Road near Decatur.
