Suspicious package investigated at Turner Field

Authorities investigated a suspicious package Friday afternoon at Turner Field, but it turned out to contain an "inert" substance.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said  a package which contained a white powder was sent to the mailroom at the stadium where the Atlanta Braves play. The team is currently in Florida for spring training.

Atlanta police and the Atlanta fire department were investigating. Jones said Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard was shut down  as a precaution.
