An arrest warrant has been issued in the Sunday shooting of a Memorial Drive motorist.

DeKalb police said Monday that a 20-year-old suspect is sought in the shooting. No arrest has been made.

A man driving a black Nissan Maxima was shot in the jaw at about 3:15 p.m. Sunday by another motorist.

The victim -- who police have not identified -- remains at Grady Memorial Hospital in critical but stable condition. The injury is not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

No motive for the shooting has been determined.

A witness told Channel 2 Action News the injured man pulled into the parking lot of a Waffle House at 4788 Memorial Drive.

The suspect fled in a black car and is being sought on aggravated assault charges.
