DeKalb County Schools Superintendent Cheryl Atkinson will ask the school board Monday to fill several executive-level posts.

The district is restructuring operations to save $5 million, said Jeff Dickerson, a school system spokesman. Atkinson wants to hire four people to fill five positions: executive directors over federal programs, facilities management, school nutrition and transportation and planning and regional superintendent.

The meeting was announced Friday afternoon to occur at 1 p.m. Monday at school system headquarters, 1701 Mountain Industrial Blvd., Stone Mountain.
