A student-written book of historical fiction about seminal moments in civil rights history is being released Saturday at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Decatur Book Festival.

The book, “Into Bright Tomorrows,” compiles short stories from students at KIPP Strive Academy, which collaborated with local authors and The Wren’s Nest on the project.

This is the fourth year in which students have brainstormed, written, edited and published a book of stories, which will be on sale for $10.
