Georgia voters across the state have reported excruciatingly long lines at the polls this Election Day, forcing some to wait hours before casting their ballots.

But that doesn't mean you've got to wait on an empty stomach. The folks over at Pizza To The Polls are sending pies to precincts with long wait times all day.

As of 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, the nonpartisan organization has sent 5,872 pizzas using Slice to 355 polling sites in 42 states so far this year.

“Americans are hungry for democracy and are turning out in record numbers to vote. But that means long lines and sometimes empty stomachs, which might discourage these brave patriots from performing their civic duty,” according to the official website. “Fortunately Pizza to the Polls is here to deliver the one thing that pairs so perfectly with freedom: piping hot ‘za. We take reports of long lines from folks around the country and then find local pizza places to deliver the goods.”

During Georgia’s early voting period, Pizza to the Polls sent 16 jumbo pies from Baby Tommy’s Taste of New York to a Cobb County precinct with 3-hour wait times.

To report a line and order some 'za for your precinct, you can fill out a form at polls.pizza. You can also donate to the cause by funding one to 10 pies or more.
