Strongarm robbery at motel

Cobb County Police are trying to identify an unarmed robber who targeted the Microtel Inn at 5300 South Cobb Drive in Smyrna.

The suspect entered the motel shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday, punched an employee on the side of her head and demanded money. The woman handed over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

The robber fled on foot. He is described as a thin black male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He wore a black hooded jacket, dark blue jeans, a skull cap and a piece of fabric over his face.
